Education:  1996: Bachelor of Science from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio
 
1988: Associate Degree in Applied Science of Nursing from Edison State Community College in Piqua, Ohio
 
Experience:  Carolyn began working part time in the occupational health field in August of 1991 and full time in occupational health since 1996, working at Huffy Bicycle Corp. in Celina, Ohio as an Occupational Health Nurse.  The OHNs at Huffy were able to save millions of dollars through implementation of on-site health initiatives. 
 
In September 1998, Carolyn joined the management team at Setex in St. Marys, Ohio as the Health, Safety, and Environmental Coordinator.  Some of her responsibilities included Workers' Compensation, FMLA, Short Term Disability and on-site clinic management.
 
After developing and marketing several training programs for Wilson Memorial Hospital in Sidney, Ohio, Carolyn realized her true passion was for helping people live healthier lifes through training and health & safety initiatives.  Carolyn created Shinn Consulting, LLC to help companies improve their safety records through implementation of safety programs, policies, procedures and training.
 
 
Melissa Chaney, CRT

Education:  2000: Associate Degree in Applied Science from Lima Technical College in Lima, Ohio

 

Melissa began working part time in the Respiratory Care field at Community Hospital in Coldwater, Ohio, a division of Mercer Health. 

 

In July of 2002, Melissa changed departments and joined the Mercer Health Home Healthcare team in Celina, Ohio.  Patient & family education is a large portion of her responsibilities. 

 

Melissa joined Shinn Consulting LLC in September of 2007 to provide training, education, and BAT.

Dr. Edward Hosbach

Dr. Hosbach began working in the occupational health field as Medical Director for a Tier I Automotive Supplier.  This non-union welding and assembly operation was experiencing high volume soft tissue injury and cummulative trauma injuries.  Dr. Hosbach was instrumental in reducing the company's injury rate. 
 
He expanded his practice to include Medical Director for a union facility with 3-shift manufacturing operation and more than 2000 employees.  Operations included high volume assembly, welding, stamping and painting. 
 
Dr. Hosbach continues to provide his services and is ready to help you.

Tad has more than 16 years working in construction and/or industry.  Safety is Tad's top priority.  Tad has a keen eye as he completes on-site safety audits.  Safety audits will help you determine what safety practices are working for you and which ones need updating or elimination.  You'll learn who your company safety champions are and who needs training and motivation.  Tad's looking forward to helping you make safety number one in your work environment.
